Mystery Monet

 

Starting with a medium-sized Monet print in a frame, I wove a mat with strips of blue. Then, I used cutouts of recognizable objects - from a collectible antiques magazine - to reconstruct the abstract. Can you guess the name of the original?

As finishing touches, I attached the label from a scratchy shirt where the artist would typically put their name, I also formed non-regular clouds in the sky using the soaked-off bits of envelope stuck to the backs of postage stamps for over 100 years in many cases.
